Praeludium and Allegro, has always been a personal fave of mine. A student of mine won the opportunity to play at Carnegie Hall with Praeludium and Allegro!
You will love this piece is not just because it is beautiful but because of all the bow techniques and the tricky little left-hand position passages that are made super simple after applying specific practice techniques.
I have studied Praeludium and Allegro with Heather privately online. She was extremely quick to assess my technical issues so that we could address difficult passages including detache, spicatto, double stops, string crossings, bow distribution, phrasing, and vibrato.
Plus, Heather nurtured and addressed the spiritual, and artistic side of playing this piece, helping me find and cultivate my own voice during this process. I have definitely just begun to see my potential as a violinist. I am very happy with the result of our studies of Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro. I highly recommend Heather’s P and A online course, as she will share her expertise and insights, and help you develop and nurture your violin soul, during the process!

When I signed up to study Praeludium and Allegro I had never heard of it and had no idea what it sounded like. I had never done a piece study before and thought it would be fun. Besides, if Heather was teaching it I knew it would be a great learning opportunity for me! It was time and money well spent. I keep the music close by at all times. It encourages me when I get discouraged and need a reminder of what I have learned and how far I've come. It's fun to play too!
